'no ip route cache' linux equivalent (ignore: wrong forum)
Hi all,
Is there a linux equivalent to cisco's 'no ip route cache' command?
I think I need this because I use sourcerouting with multiple default gateways.
I use the following config:
ip rule add from 1.1.1.1 table 1
ip route add 1.1.1.1 via 3.3.3.3 dev eth2
ip route add 2.2.2.2 via 3.3.3.3 dev eth2
ip route add default via 4.4.4.4 dev eth1
ip route add default via 5.5.5.5 table 1 dev eth0
remark: 1.1.1.1 and 2.2.2.2 belong to the same multihomed machine.
This works: I can ping & use tcp sessions to both ipnumbers. However, sometimes tcpdump sees packages sent using the wrong interface.
I think this is caused by the ip route cache for machines on the internet connecting to both ipnumbers. If this is the case, I'd like to turn it off. It might be a bug in tcpdump or libpcap aswell.
Your comments are welcome.
Regards,
Gondo
