Hi guys,
I've installed my Debian box (Lenny 5.0.2) and followed instructions on how to proper configure it here on this "LQ Debian Distribution" specific thread:
Debian Post-Install Configuration
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...547/page5.html
with the exception of the sound (which was already working) and APM (which I don't need), I configured as the poster "macondo" suggested.
The problem is that suddenly X doesn't boot anymore.
This is the final message on the
/var/log/Xorg.0.log file:
Quote:
Fatal server error:
could not open default cursor font 'cursor'
|
What I've tried:
Code:
#dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
(didn't work)
then,
Code:
#dpkg-reconfigure x11-fonts
(nothing...)
another attempt:
followed by:
Code:
#X -configure /root/xorg.conf.new
without success...
I'm considering re-installing the box. Unless you help me with your expert thoughts on this matter.
The whole file (/var/log/Xorg.0.log) is attached on this thread.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
