[LINUX LXLE] My double quote button in keyboard showed ¨ instead of ".

I have installed Linux LXLE 32bit in my old Asus S6 laptop. It has a button in the keyboard to type double quote. However, the double quote is not the usual double quote symbol that I know.

The double quote button showed this kind of double quote ¨ instead of the " normal one. So, Terminal code and programming is a little bit hard to do due to ¨ is not working as the same as ".

Here some example:
cd ¨My Folder¨ <--- Is not working.
cd "My Folder" <--- Is working.

Same happened with the single quote. How to fix this?

I know perhaps this is hard to understand, English is not my mother tongue. If you do not understand what I meant, please kindly to ask me, I will try to rephrase my question.

Additional question: How can you register at Linux LXLE forum? They ask for invitational code which I do not have.

@notalentgeek If you sign up to the LXLE General Mailing List and send an email requesting an Forum invitation code, you will be emailed one.

What language is your keyboard using? Once I know that, we can solve the button problem. Since some languages (e.g. French, Spanish, English) have more than one keyboard, give the output of the command
setxkbmap -print

Looks like you have the umlaut (German) instead of the double quote set on that key.

Yeah, stupid me. I have fix everything by set my keyboard preferences to United States and English(US).
