[Knoppix] Edit .ISO to boot text-mode automaticly?

Heey all,

I have a question to you today about the downloadable knoppix ISO. Can I modify a file on the cd so that knoppix will boot textmode automaticly? ( Like typing "knoppix 2" at boot etc. )

Greetz,

Yes, you'll need to copy the CD to an empty directory, change the isolinux.cfg kernel options to boot in single mode, then recreate the ISO with the option to boot.

I have extracted isolinux.cfg (see below), but what must be changed into to boot it into text-mode automaticly?

Code:

You need to put 'single' at the end of the APPEND parameter so that it will boot in single user mode. Notice the following:

APPEND ramdisk_size=100000 init=/etc/init lang=us apm=power-off vga=791 initrd=minirt.gz nomce loglevel=0 quiet BOOT_IMAGE=knoppix single

As in the whole script, what would be changed?

should the file only only contain 1 line with the single at the back, or each line etc. ?
