[HELP] depmod and mkinitrd command not found

Hello Guys!

I'm trying to recompile my linux kernel -2.6.32.5 version in Centos OS platform

and when I type these commands:

Quote:
depmod 2.6.30.5-fogonacaixadagua
Quote:
mkinitrd -v /boot/initrd-2.6.30.5-fogonacaixadagua.img 2.6.30.5-fogonacaixadagua
This is the link of the Guide that I'm trying to follow:
is there any packages in order for me use depmod and mkinitrd?or download it using yum?

Are you running as root ? Only root has those commands in it's path. Try /sbin/mkinitrd

To install mkinitrd use the command:

Code:
yum install mkinitrd
To install depmod:

Code:
yum install module-init-tools
And you are good to go
