[HELP] Dedicated server VNC

Hi. This is my first post in the forum. It looks great!
Let's start. Yesterday I rented a dedicated server with Linux Debian 5.0 64 Bit (Lenny) installed. On my pc I am using Windows XP. Now, I can only connect with putty (and other SSH client programs) and what I want to do is install a VNC program in the server (such as realvnc etc) to connect from my pc. Please tell me the exact commands and steps to install and configure it correctly.
PLEASE HELP!!!
Thanx in advance!

We can't tell you all those commands, there are a hundred ways to achieve what you want but it laregly depends on what you've currently got. I would wonder if you have an X windows environment installed on your VPS to use in the first place. VNC (which is pants... try nx instead) is not a windowing system in itself, just a simple server that relies on huge amounts of other things, fundamentally a working X windows instance, which will be a feature (or not) of the VPS service you are subscribing to. If there was one, then you'd presumably already have a means of access to it.
