[fluxbox and slackware 9.0] Can't find the configuration ?
Hi there! (meh is :newbie: )
Since the day I first managed to run fluxbox (It seems all so far back in history, those 24 hours :P), I would like to make my menu's transperent. according to the fluxbox FAQ --> , I should be able to set the menu alpha value in the configuration menu. But uhh... which configuration menu? ... The first time I thought they ment the menu that pops up when you right click with your mouse, but there wasn't a menu alpha button there. I need some help; many thanks in advance! |
I'm sorry for the quality of text typed above (and here), but my english isn't that great. Anyways; Is this topic clear to everybody? or do I have to be more specific / clear ?

Welcome to LQ :)
On my system (slackware 8.1) it's: /usr/local/share/fluxbox/styles And then pick which style you are going to attempt this on. I suggest you make a backup of whatever file you end up tweaking in case of bad results.. Cool |
Thank you for your warm welcome :)
I took your hint and found my styles directory @ /usr/X11R6/share/fluxbox/styles Next thing I did was to view the styles. The problem is they don't contain menu.alpha Is it a matter of just adding it? I'm googling right now, but if someone has an answer, please let me know! :D |
It's in ~/.fluxbox/init :)
