***need help with updating kernel***


does anyone know a walkthrough to updating kernels, or is willing ot explain it to me? Im currently running mandrake 9.1. My main reason for updating my kernel is to make my sis7012 work.

I'd suggest going through your menu,
find Documentation, and there locate
the Kernel-HOWTO. That's about as
concise as it gets. If you have problems/
questions after haing read it, please
come back :}
