'Monitor Resolution Settings' window too large !!
Hello Linux People!
To say I am a Newbie is an understatement, I installed my first linux distro (ubuntu) today !!! The problem I am having is with the monitor resolution settings window.I cannot see the 'APPLY' button because it is below the bottom of my screen. I moved the top and bottom task panes but this didn't help. I can only seem to resize the window width not the height. at the moment the res is set at 640x480 but i need to change it to 800x600 (or at least I think that will improve things!) I also swapped my 15" lcd monitor for a 19" lcd monitor to give more room on screen (obviously, as you can tell, I am a complete novice!!) Is there some way of either adjusting the window size or changing the res some other way ? If anyone could help I would appreciate it if explanations where in simpletons terms!!! Thanks:confused: |
Usually, in X, you can use Alt+Left-Drag to move an entire window, which should allow you to expose the concealed area.
