Zxdsl 831 modem connection problem

Hello

I have installed chrome os on my computer which is based on opensuse 11.1
and now I am trying to connect to internet throe it.
I have ZXDSL 831 modem. My computer is very old and it does not have Ethernet card so I am shold connect it throw usb cable.
I have tried to run "dsl" from control center but it says that I need some rpm-s to complete and when I downloaded them I couldn't install them!

And I need to connect to the internet as soon us it's possible!!

pleas help me

Why couldn't you install?
Is your modem supported?

No in my modem's manual written that modem is not supported but I want to connect it somehow. I think that it's possible because it's was working on windows xp which was in that computer!

if there are no linuxdrivers, it will not work
