XP box as gateway for FC3 box

Ok, first off sorry if this has been answered, I've found similar responses, but none really seemed to be what I needed.

So, I have an XP Pro box I want to use as my gateway, I've got 2 eth cards in it, one is hooked up to my router, one to my linux box via a crossover cable. Here's what I want to do: I want to have the linux box pull from the same connection that the XP box does. I can not get the boxes to ping each other and basically at a loss. I have the two connections bridged which I think is the right thing to do. I'm not sure if the windows internet sharing is what I need, but it may be...the problem is it conflicts with my router, so I changed my router ip.

So if anyone can give me a quick and dirty rundown on how I should set it up that would be awesome, it'll give me a place to start on where my problem is, if I still have one at that time. I know there are otherways I could get around this, like just hooking the linux box to the router, but this is going to be temporary with the router (I move back for school in August), and my computer is already about 75' from the router, I don't want to run a second cable for the linux box.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Do not really get what you mean but seems that you are trying to share Internet connection for XP and Linux. You should check on NAT for Windows because Windows Internet sharing is using NAT.

Hope it helps.
