xinetd vs inetd and the winner is....


Hi .... i hear the last days that the xinetd is better than inetd... It is more powerful, more robust etc
Do u know something like this?
And if it is true? Why lot of dirtos use the inetd?

xined vs inetd

My understanding is that most distros ship xinetd though it may have a number of inetd named parts to preserve compatibility.

xmm....thx Are u sure about this? But xinetd is more secure that inetd.... I think that every distro would appreciate this
