www + database network design


Based on the network design below (rough draft). Can something like this work for an actual production web environment, capable of handling 20,000+ web visitors a day? Are there any drawbacks to this type of design? It seems to me it would be more secure as the outside only has access to one port, port:80 on the web server??

Sure it would work. Just as long as the servers aren't like P166MHz machines, it should do fine.
