Hi,
I was able to do across the network installation of RHEL4 thru NFS & FTP. But I am failing again and again in doing the same kind of installation using
WWW. I did the following :-
1. Create a directory
test under
/var/www/html
2. Dump the
RedHat directory from all 4 CDs under the
test directory
3. Edit the
/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file in such a way that the
Virtual Host directive is configured for the specific IP of the Web Server (assume 192.168.10.157)
4.
service httpd start
5. On the target machine, boot with
CD1 of RHEL4
6. In the boot prompt, type
linux askmethod
7. Specify requisite information for the forthcoming screens
8. Specify address of the web server as
192.168.10.157 and the location of the RedHat Directory as
test
This didn't work but it used to work in RHEL3. Is there anything else that needs to be done to make it work?
