Wvdial, error "make", gentoo

Gentoo.

I try to use gnome-ppp, but i need "wvdial", because gnome-ppp use it to connect.
Gnome-ppp is OK, installed and OK.
But when i try to "make" wvdial-1.53, i got this on my screen:

--> Making all in /root/wvdial-1.53/src...
g++ $_R_CXXFLAGS -c wvdialer.cc

make: *** [src] Error 2

I think that i need to say that "wvstream", version 4..., compiled without any errors. But with older version of wvstream 3..., i had the sam error but with "reslover" and... something... Anyway the problem was fixed with newer version of wvstream. Makeing Wvstream 4.XXX on my machine went OK, so i dont know what°s wrong...
Anyone got any idea?

right i see. so... why aren't you installing it via portage? just drop the 1.54 tarball into distfiles and it will build it for you.
