wvdial connects but "connecting to ..." window sticks

Hi,

I just installed RedHat 7.2 on my notebook. I am using wvdial to connect to my ISP through an externa serial modem (ActionTec Callwaiting V.90). Wvdial dials and connects, but the "waiting to connect to ..." window sticks and I never get the connection confirmation on the RH PPP dialer applet.

Please help.

Thanks

Anupam.

watch the output when it gets to the part about starting pppd you're up and running , try connecting to some site using a browser. if there are any problems wvdial's output will indicate what they are.
