WUSB11 version 2.6 and Red Hat Linux 9
I am in need of help!!! I know nothing of Linux, so i am trying to start, but my Linksys Wireless Adapter USB (WUSB11 ver. 2.6) will not work with linux! (or at least i cant get it to work) So please help, i'm a :newbie: lol

If I owned the device I'd walk you through it...in the meantime you can go to the linux questions home page (click the bunch-o-penguins at the upper-left) and search on that device "wusb11", then look at all the threads where 2.6 is the version, it's been done here a number of times with success, don't be discouraged.

It looks like your Adapter uses the Atmel chipset (http://www.linux-wlan.org/docs/wlan_adapters.html). I haven't got the same adapter, but I have a usb adapter with the same chipset, so you should be able to follow the same instructions as I did.
You can download a driver from http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net/news.html and I used the howto under usb. http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net/howto/howto.html Hope this helps tddlard |
