wlan0 causing SuSE to hang

Hi, not quite sure what to do to fix this problem, I'm pretty new to Linux. I just installed SuSE 9.3. It detected my wireless card correctly, but everytime I try to connect SuSE freezes. The mouse and keyboard are locked up and the only thing I can do is restart. I've checked the logs and came up with this:

Aug 2 17:18:09 linux-comp ifup-route: Warning: Could not set up default route via interface
Aug 2 17:18:09 linux-comp ifup-route: Command ip route replace to default via 192.168.1.1 returned:

Aug 2 17:18:09 linux-comp ifup-route: This needs NOT to be AN ERROR if you set up multiple interfaces.
Aug 2 17:18:09 linux-comp ifup-route: See man 5 routes how to avoid this warning.

Ok, i kinda got things started. I changed my wlan0 configuration to use a static IP rather than use DHCP. It connects to my router successfully, without it freezing. However, at random times when using the net (ie. browsing), it will freeze. This is VERY frustating, and would really appreciate any help.)

P.S: I noticed a Wireless networking section shortly after posting, this should have been in that, sorry! :P
