Wirless Disconnects/Won't Connect till OS is restarted

Hello Everyone,

I have a problem with a wirless network that I am using and am hoping some one can help me.. My notebook gets disconnected rather frequently(but there is not difinite time interval). sometimes it stays connected but sometimes, i guess when its the network is overloaded and/or i am using it heavily, it gets disconnected. It won't reconnect until I restart the machine. restarting the network service or the interface doesn't work. There isn't much to look for in dmesg(or maybe I am not skilled enough to find it out).

How should I troubleshoot this problem? Is the problem with a kernel module that needs to be restarted?

I am using ubuntu 14.04 (GNOME) on a Lenovo Twist.

When the same thing kept happening with my wifi I finally found out form my ISP that the modem/router needed a firmware update. After the Tech updated the firmware my wifi was stable and my network didn't go down and I didn't have to keep restarting my machine.

Not sure if that's your case but I thought it would help.
