Post Wireless problems (zoom 4410)


Hi i'm quite new to linux but i want to use it as my main OS but i'm having issues with the zoom 4410 usb wireless adapter. i have it installed on the xp partition on my hard drive and i managed to install the drivers for it on ubuntu with ndiswraper but when i plug the adapter in the computer freezes. i was wondering whether i need to uninstall it on xp??
any help on this or some tips on ubuntu in general would be very helpfull thanx

I know for sure it doesnt have anything to do with xp. It might be a kernel panic when you put the usb in. That happened to me and it took forever to fix.

Looks like it can be kernel panic.... but, I think you got the wrong drivers... because it happens when you plug the usb wireless adapter so it crashes because there is something wrong... try to remove those drivers and reinstall them with the usb adapter plug in.... do it and see what happens.

What are the wifi drivers, manager, etc you got install??
