wireless networking

I have slackware 12.1 installed on my Dell inspiron 1525
When i use wirless wlan0 the dhclient wlan0 hooks me
up with hot spots locate at local areas (library, coffee shops)
with an ip adress and I can use my browser to browse the
web.

However, in the suburbian areas (manitou springs)
dhclient wlan0 still connects me with ip address, but
I can't browse the web with web browser(firefox, seamonkey,)
browser complains can't find server or can't find something.
weird.

So...you are having problems illegally connecting to people's home networks, and want to diagnose the cause?
