Wireless issues

I have Slackware64. HP dv2500 with Athlon Turion X2 I have broadcom wireless.(4312 I think) This is the third time I've updated over the last year or so. (Slack 12.0 / SlamD64 / Now Slack64) I never get the wireless right. I took out my notes for the previous but where I'm not using ndiswrapper, They aren't really applying. In short, here is what I get it someone can tell me where I've messed up.

RE: Wireless Issues

Have you used the b43-fwcutter tool to extract the firmware from your windows driver for this laptop??

download b43-fwcutter from linuxwireless.org and the current wl_apsta.o (do a google search, it's all over the place)

Untar/Unzip the fwcutter package and install it (make && make install)
change to the directory where you downloaded wl_apsta.o and issue b43-fwcutter -w /usr/lib/firmware wl_apsta.o

reboot the machine and you should be good to go.

You're close

It looks like the driver for your device is loaded. You just need to configure it in /etc/rc.inet1.conf.

Alien Bob has a great wiki on configuring wireless networks including WPA. http://alien.slackbook.org/dokuwiki/...ckware:network

This should give you a good start.
