Question Wireless Card Problems

I currently have Ubuntu 7.04 on my HP Pavilion dv5000, my wireless card is a Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC... or is it Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN. I'm not to sure which one it is but I really can't decide which, and well, my Ubuntu can't find my card, what do I do?

The RTL8139 is a wired card. And already long ago solved for working on these forums. Cant tell with the broadcom because you didn't give any kind of model infomation on it so no way to know if it works without knowing which broadcom.

You should be able to find out the card model by opening a terminal and running lspci. Also, try the HP website.

You can also search here or on Google using--e.g.--"broadcom wireless linux"
