Wired internet on backtrack?

I was wondering if there was any way to get wired internet on backtrack (2). I have a Dell Dimension E310 (with intel chipset). I'm using the integrated ethernet adapter on the motherboard (intel chipset).

I understand that some of the things backtrack prides itself on is related to wireless networking, but I just want internet on Backtrack so I can fix my wireless problems without having to go from BT to vista to BT... etc.

Thanks in advance,
Will

P.S. I'm somewhat of a n00b at Linux

Of course you can use Ethernet on it, you aren't limited to wireless devices only.

Just plug the Ethernet cable in, the machine should get a DHCP lease from the router/WAN connection, and you are connected. There is nothing you need to do.
