Windows workstation Samba error "not allowed to log on from this workstation"
I have taken over a linux network, it is not my first network but it is certainly more sophisticated then I am used to. The old admin did an excellelant job setting it up, but he is not willing to sharing or help.
Here is my problem. I can setup new users and convert them over to Samba users. They can connect to Samba shares from the workstations that already are part of the domain. Also there are users who have laptops that can access the Samba shares. However I cannot get a new workstation to connect. I get the error "The user is not allowed to log on from this workstaion.
The hosts allowed line in the config is set to. XXX.XXX.XXX. 127.
I cannot find LDAP_AUTH file. Any suggestions here?
