Windows VPN Client, on Linux

I have checked the NUMEROUS number of VPN threads, and never found a definative answer to this problem ( appearantly I am not alone):

I have a linux box at home.
My workplace has a windows based VPN that I need to connect to.
Freeswan sucks.

These are the only real givens in this situation. The PPTP doesnt seem to help. Does anyone know of a program I (let's be honest, WE) can use to conect our linux boxes to the windows VPN ?

Have you looked into CIPE

That may be a good place to start looking. If not CIPE, the articles may provide some more leads or ideas in your search.
