Windows Messenger and Smoothwall
Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me reolve the following problem. I have two computers running xp that access the internet via a smoothwall box. I now need to use the windows messanger program with a webcam but have found that I can only get it to work with the computers behind the firewall. I seem to be able to get it to work with text but not with the cam. I am fairly sure it is a security feature within smoothwall but do not know where to look to get messenger to work. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to resolve this. kind regards Pete |
IIRC voice etc use different ports from the "usual" stuff.
Did you Google the net for the ports? Did you try logging DROPped packets on the fw? Code:
Feature Outbound Port Inbound Port |
