Windows internet connection sharing

Sorry, if this question has been answered before... i have found an answer to it half an year ago, but i cannot remember where i found it... :(
My father owns a Win98 Computer with a 56k modem. Now i would like to connect to the internet (with my Computer, Mandrake 8.1) using his modem connection (LAN connection). How do you set this up?

You'll have to set up the Windows 98 station as a proxy server. One of the easiest ways to do that is with PPPshar . Once you have it installed, set up your software on the Linux machine to use the Win98 machine as a proxy server. I'm currently using (and typing this message on) that exact setup. Good luck!
