Angry Windows 2000 Permisions under Samba

I am running Linux 8.0 as a SAMBA server with a bunch of Windoze 2000 pc's. The problem I'm running into is when I put an access database out on the server to be shared the Windoze users can not access the database at the same time. When moved to a Windoze 98 member of the network they can. I've been unable to change permissions on the Windoze 2000 side of the house, but the Linux side has fulll permisions granted to the members of the group
