WIN2K and Fedora networking not working
 

:scratch: I cant see LINUX box and W2K box.
Samba and Lisa daemon is working allright.

What else do I miss?

I need the whole picture.....

How are you trying to connect from one to the other?

what does your samba setup look like on your linux machine?

how are you trying to connect from your linux machine to your windows machine?

By GUI, it's already there. From FDR 4 to win2k.

Also look like GUI setup.
All of 'em are reported running.

TCP/IP/Netware/IPX-SPX all protocol are enabled in Win2k.

FEDORA connection was refused when I try to browse the Win2K-Pro from //:192.160.0.77<=>192.168.0.78 both ways 'round.
Can't see anything,either from LINUX or Win.

I don't know about the GUI.... but from the linux box, you'll need to use "mount" something like:

mount -t smbfs -o username=Administrator,password=foobar //win2Kserver/Exact_share_name /local/mount/location

to go from win2k to linux, on the linux box, you need to make sure you have samba installed and running, you need to make sure you've got directories shared and such in /etc/samba/smb.conf and you probably will need to add smbusers with smbadduser.

Yes I've done all like you said from GUI. Still can't see Window box ,there could be a configuration I've missed.

Today I can see Linux box from Win2k N of course I'd to modify something in System32 but still can't browse what's inside Linux box.

Good news is; I can 'ping' the LINUX from Win2k.
Now I have to work on LINUX.
