why does wifi not work?
 
i am using a tplink wifi usb on my old computer that is running ubontu 10.10 .

my connection is via dlink (di 524 up)

the settings are

WPA-PSK with a passphrse

the inter works on my windows and mac using wifi

what am i doing incorrect

You can run the lsusb command in a terminal to verify that the computer is seeing the USB card.

If you can't see it there, you can double-check with dmesg; dmesg provides many more lines of output, so a little scrolling will be necessary.

the adapter works as ubontu can find the wifi network it juts not like my correct parphase/password
