I mean after we configure the settings in netconfig, where is the settings store at?

How about adsl-setup's settings?

On Slackware, you can find netconfig settings in /etc/rc.d/inet1.conf
On Fedora/Rediat, they are at /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts

adsl (pppoe) settings are at /etc/ppp/
