Talking Where is the sqwebmail login page?

Hi everybody

I recently installed sqwebmail 3.6.0 but I don't know where is the login page.
How do I set up that page?

I know that this question sounds stupid, but the installations instructions don't tell you how to do this, they only say: specify the URL to the sqwebmail binary.
Is there a default URL?

I've tried

http://mydomain/cgi-bin/sqwebmail
http://mydomain/webmail/
http://mail.mydomain
http://webmail.mydomain

But no one worked.

Maybe my sqwebmail isn't correctly installed.

Thanks!!

Madrinator,

Where did sqwebmail install to? You need to make sure that apache knows where it is, and that it is a CGI program. Look at the ScriptAlias option in you apache config and that the sqwebmail is in that directory.

Depending on your ScriptAlias, http://mydomain/cgi-bin/sqwebmail is probably where it will be.

Good Luck,
chris

The apache config file is /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf right?
I don't see any ScriptAlias option

The line "Servername localhost" is commented,
could be that, part of the problem?

Could you be more specific? Sorry, I'm still a ignorant newbie, thanks.

my sqwebmail binary is in /var/www/cgi-bin/

and sqwebmail is installed in /usr/local/share/sqwebmail

These are de default paths, I didn't chage any option when I configured sqwebmail.

I use mandrake 8.2

Madrinator,

If you are running apache 1.3.x, check the srm.conf file.

Good Luck,
chris

Thank you Chris but I searched for the srm.conf and found nothing.

I use apache 1.3.23 and it's working.

Regards from the land of the tequila.

I saw my httpd.conf file and found that it includes a commonhttpd.conf file.
I saw my commonhttpd.conf and found these lines:

ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ /var/www/cgi-bin/

and near the end:

<Directory /var/www/cgi-bin>
AllowOverride All
Options ExecCGI
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>

My sqwebmail binary file is in /var/www/cgi-bin/ and both the file and the folder have 777 permissions, but when I type http://mydomain/cgi-bin/ in a browser, I get a no permissions error from apache.

What could be wrong if everything seems OK?

Yesterday I installed squirrelmail and works fine, but I'd like to try sqwebmail.

Thank you.
