Question What is reason to get " Failed Dependencies" Error


Hi Everyone ,

I Really new to linux , whenever more two or three time installing it i am getting the error
Dependencies failed or failed Dependencies error

Anyone pls describe me so that it will not happen in furture

dependencies are other packages required by the package you are trying to install. linux uses a very modular apparoach to software, and applications rely on others to do their job. as such, you often need to install subordinate tools before the package you want to use is accepted. installation mangers like yum and apt-get resolve these dependencies automatically for you though, so you may want to look at that.

this also has nothing at all to do with networking, please pick your forums more carefully next time

did you meant installing rpm or installing linux as a whole? If installing
rpm, I did also go through that same error and found following to solve the problem:
"rpm -ivh --aid your-rpm.rpm"
but mind that all needed files must be in the same folder as your-rpm.rpm
