what directory structure is needed for maildir?

With 'mailboxes' you simply specify the usr's home directory and all mail ends up in there. I want to use maildir for this new mail server. I'm using Postfix so do I still need the usual '/var/spool/mail' option under 'mail_spool_directory' in main.cf?

Also, I have selected maildir/ as my 'home_mailbox' is this correct or should I be using ./maildir instead?

I have created the directory '.maildir/' in the usr's home directory and placed Inbox, Sent and Drafts within it. Apart from these steps, is there anything else which will need to be be done or have I missed out something?

I'm using uw-imap for my IMAP delivery. thx
