what are the ymas and xmas tcp flags used for?

The title says it all. I've exhaustively searched the internet for information on this. I've never seen it mentioned in any of the tcp/ip books I've read, one of them being a college text.

They now go by the names ECE and CWR and deal with congestion.

See "rfc:3168" Previously they were reserved bits, and the letter y simply follows the letter x.
