Weird backslash character in NFS path names
I'm trying to connect to my NAS over NFS. All works perfectly on command line and almost perfectly on konqueror / dolphin file managers.
When I typing on konqueror
nfs://192.168.1.100/it shows me exports directories as expected.
BUT ... all these directory paths contained WRONG BACKLASH character
mnt⁄ide1⁄archivePlease note, that "⁄" is not same as "/" and konqueror gives me
The file or folder /mntā„ide1ā„archive does not exist. How I can fix this ?
Some information about client machine:
# uname -a
Linux localhost 220.127.116.11-desktop586-2mnb #1 SMP Sun Aug 16 22:48:48 EDT 2009 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.73GHz GNU/Linux
# kded4 --version
KDE: 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2)
KDE Daemon: $Id: kded.cpp 944896 2009-03-26 13:00:10Z dfaure $
But I think the problem lies with the encoding or other setup on the server because it is telling your client the /paths/to/files and seems to be using the wrong character. Try looking on the server.
What is the Maker & Model of your NAS ? (So I don't buy one!)
Link below gives the proof
Also one thing is missing under KDE 4 (and what exists under KDE 3) that Konqueror doesnt have anymore special icons for NFS drives on Navigation Panel. I think that automount gives me what I need.
