websites will not resolve

We just moved several websites from one office to another, i.e. all the ip numbers changed from 208.xxxxx to 216.xxxxxx.

We are running RH 7.3 on an HP server.

With our firewall turned off we can open the default website with http://216.xxxxx but the domain name will not resolve.

Obviously, our sysadmin has changed the db.xxxx records and another file "conf" and, of course looked and looked through everything for the old 208.xxxx,....but still no name resolution.

The default website is http://www.health-science.com.

Is there an obvious configuration we are missing???

Thanks,

David

it looks like none of the e-sa.com name servers are working at the moment.
can't ping
ns1.e-sa.com
ns2.e-sa.com

I think health-science.com may only be working because it's cached in some other name server, it'll probably stop working soon.

you need your name servers working for health-science.com to work.

you have access as in you know what they look like or you have a login to those computers?

you need to either turn on the ns1,ns2 computers or star t their name servers.

they're not working, so nothing at e-sa.com is probably working either, mail, web servers, etc.

is your friend oldtechy asking this same question?
try pinging www.linuxquestions.org or something from your dns server.
if it don't work you need to get whoever jax.fdn.com is to fix up your routing.
what's your router's ip address there?

traceroute from the outside world shows it stops at jax.fdn.com....

/usr/sbin/traceroute 216.199.16.20

21 216-199-63-249.jax.fdn.com (216.199.63.249) 268.961 ms 269.116 ms 268.157 ms
22 216-199-0-145.jax.fdn.com (216.199.0.145) 268.312 ms 268.827 ms 267.230 ms
23 216-199-30-34.jax.fdn.com (216.199.30.34) 274.122 ms 275.379 ms 274.606 ms
