WebServer Plus Internet Camera

I just got a Dlink camera(has its own bulit in webserver) for the holiday and was working on setting it up to report to my webpage (I got the wrong camera for what i wanted to do i am sure, the webserver part i believe is causing more of a hassle than anything else). I am a Qwest DSL Customer(with local ISP) with a STATIC IP and am using the Actiontec modem. Have been overly reassured that nothing is being blocked by Qwest or my ISP(Network Admin is a close friend). I currently have my web and mail server(Slackware 9 running apache and postfix) set as the DMZ host and everything works as flawlessly as it should until I try to get to the camera from the outside. My interior network has all machines static on the 192.168.0.XX scheme. I can see the camera with no problem from the inside. I cannot get to it from the outside unless i change the DMZ in the DSL router to the camera IP (.23), which effectively takes the webserver out of the loop. I have opened 8888 as a second web port on the cam to get around the default 80 being forwarded to the webserver(which i think is redundant, if its in the DMZ do i really need to forward those ports?)and i am able to see it with the additional port from the inside, but even with the forwarding of 8888 to .23 i am still unable to see the camera. Am considering a second Internet Connection to the house or a different kind of routing scheme as a workaround, but until i can get that active was wondering if there were any ideas that may point me in the right direction.

EDIT:....have another router (Linksys Wireless B) sittin here that i may be able to bridge thru the dsl router/modem. Also have tried to forward port from webserver(inDMZ) to the second webserver port on the camera but to no avail. beginning to really think its all an issue of 2 webservers behind crappy actiontec...Would love to be proven wrong. Please Post if you agree that I may be right
