VLAN Setup with RHEL3

Having problems getting my VLANs running on a RHEL3 box. I can ping the vlan interfaces from the server but cannot ping the gw for that particular interface. server with dual nics and have added 2 files the ifcfg-eth0.203 and 550. It most prob. has to do with routing rather than the vlan setup

if it probably is routing related, why not tell us about your routing? you've not said a thing about it. give us real ip addresses to highlight what you can and can't do. saying "it doesn't work" doesn't help either us or you...
