Hey everyone!!

I have a peer to peer with RH 8 and windows 2k. I can view all from windows machine but cant from Linux. I have Samba and Linneighborhood installed. When I use Nautilius and type smb:// I see my workgroup and the windows machine but cant open it and view files.. Also on LinNeighborhood I see the Window machine icon but it wont click open either....Help me please im going nuts....Thanks:study: :cry:

If you right click on the computer in Linneihborhood you have an option to set a user to log in as - try setting that to a user that has permissions to access the share on win2k.

Thanks, i figured out why i wasn't getting in, (firewall) duh.....hehe.....New problem, i can see the folders but it tells me i dont have the permissions to view the contents..I set permissions on win2k machine for user to admin but cant get in...help....

obviously, permissions all along the windows directories have to relate to the same username you are passing from the linux machine to the W2k via smb.
