Post Very urgent problem...about using clone mac address

I want to enable a function which is called clone mac...see in the picture.
while, some systems don't support such a function... such as centos, the picture was taken in ubuntu 11.04... so, if i want to enable the function in centos or some other distributions which doesn't support this originally, what should i do?

is upgrading the network manager functional?

thanks for answering...

this is NOT "VERY URGENT" this is a voluntary community and it is just rude / arrogant to try to demand priority attention from the members here.

If you want to change your local mac, you can just do it using ifconfig. You're comparing features on given versions of network manager, this is not "what the distro can do" and it's been trivial to change a mac for well over a decade.

Sorry, but I say urgent because it's critical to me, i have to modify the mac to get on the Internet, otherwise i would not be able to use network next day for some reason...

while, i have tried this method before, so, it's not possible, so, the ifconfig want to change the mac of my device, which is not what i want because it can't take me there, i just want to change the mac in my network, i think the different version of my network manager matters...

lastly, thanks for answering...^-^
