Using more than 1 Ip on same nic?

I have 10 ip's for my box...

I want to run a fes cs servers on it.. but how the heck do i bind more than 1 ip to the same nic...

and how does cs knwo which ip to use...

try (as root)

(assuming that your interfase is eth0)
ifconfig eth0:0 192.168.1.100
ifconfig eth0:1 192.168.1.101
...
...
...
...
etc.

and then run ifconfig eth0 too see if it works.

red whats the specs on this pc since u want to run a "FEW" CS servers..
you can host a few off of the same ip just change the port.. default is 27015 u can add 27016 27017 27018... also, what is the connection that you are using for the internet. if u dont have a huge upload its gonna lag big time..

I have 3 servers running.. No Lag...

3 different Ip's bound to the same nic...

Runs fine...
The PC is in a data center... no crappy cable uplaod speed...

i can peg it at 10 MEG up/down from my office...
