Using Active Directory Login on Ubuntu to access Windows Shares
I have a Windows 2003 Active Directory and have now inherited some Linux Ubuntu 8.04 Servers. I have successfully configured the Ubuntu servers to join the Windows A/D and to use the Active Directory Users whom are allowed to login. I did this using samba and winbind. I have created shares on the Ubuntu server to allow the Windows XP PC's to connect and share files.
I have now been asked to connect from the Ubuntu Server to a Windows Share. I have over 30 different accounts which can login to the Ubuntu Server and as such do not want to use the fstab to mount the drives. The users change there passwords every 30 days so I dont want the use hard coding of username and password either in the fstab or .credentials file. Each user has a home drive on a windows share which will need to be mounted along with 3 other shares.
I cannot seem to find any way of mounting a Windows Share using the logged in credentials.
Any help or pointers greatly appreciated.
Thanks
