Use SSH to connect MS SQL Servers
I want to use SSH to connect SQL servers. I have Machine 1 with MS SQL 2000 that will SSH into a redhat linux machine. i hope to forward the request on the linux machine to Machine 2 running MS SQL 2000. I am trying to create scripts to make the connection in windows. here is an example:
C:
cd \mspssh
copy /y outside.hst C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
cls
start "Remote Microsoft Project access" /min plink.exe -batch -P 22 -ssh -2 -C -x -a -T -l puser -L 1433:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:1433 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -i id_rsa.ppk
Can someone explain this script? Thank you. My end result is that after i run the script on Machine 1 that it will then be able to connect to the sql service using database apps.
