There are many that work out of the box. I would recommend you that you shop with your computer. Many noname chipsets work out of the box, search for ALFA wlan or Zydas adapters.

You could try the two listed here.[Adafuit.com] If it works for the Raspberry Pi, it will probably work for you. As far as I am aware, they both have a RTL8188CUS chipset and Realtek has a Linux driver available if all else fails.

Thanks for the reply. I have got the broadcom one working now though so no need for a USB adapter anymore.
