Question USB Prolink modem on Mandrake 9.1

im new in using linux mandrake 9.1. i have a problem to set up internet connection. i using USB Prolink Hurricane 7000, adsl modem. i don't have ethernet network adapter. so when i setting up the internet connection. i have this error message: "No ethernet network adapter has been detected on your system. I cannot setup this connection type". Can any1 help me? Thanks alot!
