upgraded ssh, now can't make public key connection

Argh... quite frustrating.

I've upgraded ssh on my Fedora box, now I can't do public key authentication to that box. I have no clue as to what is wrong. I'm making the keys the same way I do on every other machine:

ssh-keygen -t dsa -f ~/.ssh/identity && cat ~/.ssh/identity.pub | ssh SERVERB 'sh -c "cat - >>~/.ssh/authorized_keys2 && chmod 600 ~/.ssh/authorized_keys2"'

I make sure to remove authorized_keys2 before doing that.
I've made sure to allow public key auth in my sshd_config file.

if I ssh -vv, I get this (the relevant stuff anyway):
Code:
debug1: expecting SSH2_MSG_KEX_DH_GEX_REPLY
debug1: Host 'backend' is known and matches the RSA host key.
debug1: Found key in /root/.ssh/known_hosts:1

I'm plum out of ideas. Any thoughts?
