Updating/patching master and slave dns servers running bind
 

I've inherited a bunch of centos 6.x dns servers running bind (master + slaves), and need to get them updated/patched.

Are there any specific steps I should follow with respect to updating bind on the master and slaves, i.e., master first then slaves, or is that not even something to worry about?

1. Read the release notes.
2. Personally, I'd do slaves first, then master.
