unsupported nic

hi,

I'm pretty new to Linux, and I am trying to find a driver for my NIC. It is a Broadcom 440X 10/100 integrated NIC on an Asus motherboard. I first tried Redhat 8, now I am using Mandrake 9.0. I also found a driver on the Asus website (while still running 8) that seemed not to work for that particular distribution.

Now Mandrake 9.0 also will not recognize this card. Has anyone else faced a similar problem with this card? The computer is a Dimension 2350. I'm thinking its time to just get a different NIC. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Dan
